Ok guys...pardon the still newbie question here...

But does microsoft have Internet Explorer for macs? I would like to have it so I can run compatibility test for my design and programming work.

I googled it but couldnt find like a strait IE download from microsoft or anything.

Thanks for all the help in advance! :)

There is but it's years old and does not ship with OS X anymore. Unless your computer is running 10.3 or before I don't think you can get it.

You could also install Windows on your computer and use IE that way.

I would just use something like VMWare Fusion or Parallels so you don't have to partition your hard drive, especially if all your really doing with Windows is checking browser compatibility. You could also use Virtual Box which is free.

Dude, way easier.... enable the developer menu in safari and tell websites that you're running IE. You can do it in the terminal, or you can download "Secrets" by blacktree and enable it in that pref pane.

^Agreed. No point in installing a whole OS just to use a browser!

He doesn't want IE compatibility, he wants to see how webpages render in IE. Thus he needs the actual IE rendering engine, not just a browser hack to fool a website.

Given that Msoft decided not to update IE for the Mac, I guess that the compatibility issue doesn't really arise?? Or am I missing something?
