What symptoms are you seeing? It's hard to diagnose without symptoms.

That said, get rid of CleanMyMac and WonderShare. One is not needed and has caused problems in the past and the other is a perpetrator of malware. And you have smcFanControl also, which should NOT be needed in 99.9% of the time.

So, what's going on with your MBP that caused you to run Etrecheck?

Thank you for your prompt reply. I came across Etre in a search for a solution to a problem with d/l software (Canon’s Digital Photo Professional (DPP). I can't find a reason why the disks won't open. The disks will bounce in the dock 2 times them disappear. When I logged on to my MBP as a guest and tried to open them I received a message that they were incompatible - so began my search for the answer. Since ten of 1000's of people use the software I thought it must be my machine.
I have contacted Canon and awaiting a reply.

Since I didn't know if the report held a clue, I asked for help on the forum. I will uninstall Clean and Wondershare - thx. My Mac usually runs hot and the fan runs often, even with the lid shut. Again thanks for your help!

Ok, I can't help with the Canon stuff because I don't own anything from Canon. But there are plenty of folks who do use Canon's, so someone will chime in eventually. The report doesn't seem to have anything I can find for why the Canon software didn't load, but I wouldn't expect it to. It reports mainly on what DOES load and has loaded.

Are you sure the software has been installed, or did you only download it and not install it? What is your settings in Shystem Preferences > Security, can you install software from Apple and Trusted Developers? You may need to right click on the app and then click Install?

Let's go after this from a different angle. What do you want the software to do? There may be other software that is compatible and does the same thing.

Yes it was installed. I finally d/l'd all available software for DPP and YEAH! It finally is working - thank you for your interest
