In the hobby thread there were a few with photography as a hobby post your pictures here. This is the view from the hot tub at Benton Hot Springs with a little zoom.
I was in Ireland last week, Dublin then Limerick from where we took a trip to the Dingle Peninsula on the steep, twisting route of the Wild Atlantic Way. Panoramas of an almost deserted, windy Inch beach and Dingle in the distance from An Chonair (Connor Pass).
I can see them but I had trouble posting at a decent size so you may have caught the post while I was editing. The beach one would not export at a reasonable size without being rejected.
Several years back we had some idiot decide to set fire to the local gaurigue and it got bad enough for the water bombers to be called in. A Bombariere Dash8 and a couple of Grumand Trackers. The Trackers are a WW2 medium USAF bomber and have been totally updated to modern standard and do a wonderful service. This fire was only a mile or so up wind from us so I shot out and videod so of the action. These are a couple of photos from that video and are not too good but it was an impressive sight! They stopped it too I am glad to say because we were down wind from it.

I wolud love to get a flight with one of the Trackers. There are 2 based at Salvasa, Carcassonne airport and I cna tell just how far a fire is away from us by the height they fly over. The higher the better! Not much chance of us getting caught as there aren't so many trees, but it doesn't arf bugger up the swimming pool!
OT, but: the military or someone occasionally still flies some Trackers from the airport just a few km to the north of us. Their non-mistakable engine sound is loud and powerful sounding, but also sounds like they're going to really misfire and die.
They are highly modified aircraft with turbo prop engines. We have 2 based at Carcassonne and they always go out together. I call them 'les jumeau, the twins. I think they go together for the same reason that fighter pilots do, one ca read and one can write? These are the ones. They gave it a different name, but that's a Tracker airframe.
