I remember that iPhoto had a recommended limit on the number of photos it could handle with ease. I surpassed that limit with a total of about 25.000 photos.

I upgraded my computer (yippie) and thereby also my OS so I'm now on Photos. Is there a limit on the number of photos it can handle? Can't find anything on the Internets.

As far as I know, there is no specified limit on the size of your Photos library apart from the space available on you Mac's Hard Drive.

I guess it could depend on if you "copy items to the Photos library", or leave them where they are?
