If I deny the request it shuts down the upload. Is it safe to allow it to access confidential information?

Where are you downloading (uploading) flash player from? Can I assume you mean downloading? There are a lot of fake flash player sites out there. I have updated flash player many times and it has NEVER asked to access my keychain. There is no reason and it sounds fishy. Do not allow it.

This is a legit link: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

Hi,

The accepted way of updating Flash Player is via System Preferences, where you will find the Flash Player icon on the bottom line. Click on it and choose Updates. If there are any, it will take you to the legal Adobe site.

Lisa has also provided a safe way to do this.

Adobe does not request any personal info whatever.

Ian
