Looks like Apple is doing some rebranding. Apple stores will no longer be Apple Stores, but simply Apple.

The change seems to be part of a master plan designed to attract Apple aficionados and help them find a new place to simply hang out with like minded people. There doesn't seem to be any word on whether the stores will be serving coffee in an attempt to woo those presently clogging up Starbucks.

Most of the Apple stores I visit are pretty darn busy...and pretty darn crowded most of the day. If Apple served coffee at the stores...they would probably be even more conjested with folks just hanging out...not to speak of the potential for lots of liquid damaged electronics!;)

You lucky rotters!

Five hundred klms (300 miles) to my nearest Apple Store with or without the store bit.

You have my sympathy. 2 Apple stores in Edmonton and a great Apple specialist too.

Ya'll will hate me. I have 6 Apple stores in the Area.
If that doesn't satiate my need for apple, I live .8 miles from the new Apple headquarters.
I went for a walk and saw Tim Cook on the site.

Hate me all you want, I'm ready for it. :*

I don't hate you. Living in the San Francisco bay area you also pay extremely high prices for everything as well (housing, gasoline, taxes, utilities, etc.). I'd rather live where there is one Apple store nearby...and prices for most things are more reasonable!:) Of course there are a lot of great things about the Bay area as well. Just EXTREMELY expensive to live there!

But I do feel for the folks that are no where near an Apple Store.

I love San Francisco. Been there numerous times and always enjoyed the stay. Probably the only city in the US where you may need an overcoat in July! Yeah, prices are probably a bit high but no worse than living in Manhattan where by the way there are lots of Apple Stores and taxes! LOL.

What's the purpose of this tbf? They'd have to expand the Apple "store" in order to accomodate everyone... this would cause them extra cost. Sounds like they'd pay to damage their electronics. LOL

random question OT sorry: do mods & admins get paid for their work here ?

Don't believe him. He's a rich landowner in LA and also owns a hat shop. LOL!

To honestly answer the above question... all our staff members are volunteers and have been ever since these forums went on the air way back when.
