• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hi - I've run into something I haven't seen before. I've got a red triangle .png logo that looks perfect in a photo editing program - and looks perfect when I'm looking at it on my FCP 7 timeline....and perfect when I export it....but whenever I try to either: compress the file for Youtube.....or...upload it to youtube (even without compressing it) the top edges of the red triangle pixelate.

I've tried different codecs, to no avail. Anyone ever dealt with this? Any suggestions on a "special codec" that works well with (lol) red triangle graphics?

Here's a video where you can see what I'm talking about:

(before I upload that - the edges of the triangle all look smooth.)

Thanks,
Donny

Your "red triangle" looks perfect on my screen when I played the YouTube video you linked. (No pixelation at all.)
