Stock images Question

Hello all, I was just wondering about all the stock photos on mac's and Windows etc etc.

All of these images of nature being beautifully taken, are these from lucky SOB's who actually go and shoot on location? Or are they all fakes in a stage/set and photoshopped to look real?

If you're referring to the images that make up the desktop wallpaper selection, they are real photos (generally licensed from sources such as National Geographic or NASA or independent photographers). I'm sure there is a fair amount of Photoshop enhancement, but only to "pop" the original photo.
