Help! no wifi on mac, everywhere else yes

hello ,
i have an g4 ibook 10.3.9 and it seems impossible to join a wireless network ,when all other devices ( wii, pc , iphone etc..) have no problem connecting.
by ethernet cable i have no problem.
it has a wep password . the router is Netgear cvg834g.

i apreciate any help

Are you sure your iBook has a Airport Card installed? Open up system profiler (Click the Apple in the Top Corner and Choose about this mac and click more info) Go down to Airport and see if there is anything there about it. Or if there is open up System Preferences and go to Network and see if there an option for airport if there is tell it to show airport status in menubar and click the new icon in the menubar and choose the wireless network and enter your WEP password and you should be good to go.

well i have airport card and i have been connected with numerous networks all these years with this computer.
it simply says that there is a problem connecting to the network.
any ideas?
