Hello,

I have a G4 Powerbook, which is a PPC processor. I'm running OS X 10.5.1.
I've been having tons of issues with my wireless lately- dropped connections, and when I try to reconnect, "Connection Timeout/Failure" messages.
I've been seeking help for that but nothing yet.

I'm thinking I should downgrade to Tiger.

I know this is a big step, but I am prepared to take it because this wireless BS has just gone on for too long. I can't move my laptop 5 feet without it dropping the connection and making a fuss.

Should I downgrade, or should I stick it out for the 10.5.2 update and hope this fixes my problems?

THANK YOU!

So the software bug is pretty much making your system worthless? I wouldn't hesitate to downgrade. Leopard is nice but nothing in it is crucial.

I went ahead with the downgrade, and alas, the problem persists. Do you think it's a hardware problem?

What did you downgrade to? I thought the latest 3 revs of Tiger had the issue....

I would have stuck it out for 10.5.2....

I downgraded to 10.4.11 .

In any event, I'll probably end up getting to the genius bar.
