I want to see the current phase of the moon as conveniently as possible on my desktop. I thought that Lunabar would do it, but I couldn't get it to install. Ideally I'd like it to be unobtrusive, on the command bar (right term?).

Anybody have any suggestions?

Normally called the menubar.

You might also be interested in using a moon phase widget Mac.

Try here for some:

Widgets aren't always normally visible but can be easily invoked.
