Deleted Photo Still Showing up

As posted before I tried the steps here HOWEVER the trashcan icon shown is greyed out. Any ideas on what I can do to hide those books since they aren't downloaded and I don't want to download them.

Did you give the "Edit" a good sharp tap and then tap to select a book??

Or, if you're are like me, I very often have to use a stylus as using my fingers don't always seem to get any response.

Maybe it will work.

It's annoying that I had to do this but I figured out how to hide them. I didn't get the trashcan until I selected multiple books.
