Safari - Pop Ups

I have a problem with popups. When I go into Safari preferences - security, I don't see an option to Block Pop Ups which I think should be there?

Any ideas please?

Look Safari Preferences, Extensions. Then get AdBlock Plus and/or just AdGuard AdBlocker. They work well together.

Edit: Also, please let us know which versions of Mac OS X/OS X/macOS and Safari you are running?

I am running Sierra 10.13.6 and Safari 12.0.03

Safari has a built in Pop Up blocker, however, as Bob stated above you should also install an approved Safari extension that blocks Pop Ups and Ads. I personally use "Ka-Block" which is an approved extension for Safari. The Mac App Store also as a wealth of approved Pop Up blockers for Safari.
