Ian:

Apple has already disabled group FaceTime and is currently working on a fix. Apparently they knew about the bug for a week and are just now acknowledging that there is a problem. Fix should be out soon.

It's a very interesting article, amazing what's out there to threaten our privacy. As mentioned in a previous thread about covering the Mac camera with tape I had installed OverSight on my MBP but that doesn't protect my iDevices.
