I have five calendars that all show in my Apple Calendar: Work, Home, Birthdays, Holidays, email address. These also show on my Google Calendar App on the iPhone and iPad.

I would also like to use the Google calendar on my 2012 MacBook Pro but when I open the Google calendar on my MacBook I only have a calendar in my name and the birthdays calendar. I want the same calendars on my Mac as I do on my iPhone and iPad. How can I achieve this? (I know there is no Google Calendar app for the MacBook)

In System Preferences > Internet Accounts, are you signed in to your google account? You can sync Calendars, Mail, etc with your google (or other) accounts.

I have iCloud, Exchange, Google and AOL internet accounts. All are signed in and all suggest that the calendar is synced. The Google account has Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Notes and all have the blue box ticked!

On your iDevices, are you signed in to your google account, in the google calendar app?

Hi Bob,

I thought you had it there! On both iDevices only iCloud was ticked in the Manage accounts section. I ticked Gmail and Exchange but still no synch to my MacBook Pro! Thanks for trying! If you have any other things I might try, it would be much appreciated!

When I open the calendar app on my MB Pro along the left side is all the possible calendars I can select. My Google, Work, iPhone etc calendars all show up. When I click under iPhone my google calendar all my personal stuff shows up. My work calendar is all under my Apple calendar and backed up to iCloud. I can also check it and all the work stuff show up.

You must have all the mail accounts active. Also all calendars have to be backing up to somewhere - google, icloud, live/outlook, etc. Then just check the ones you want to show in the calendar app. As for your iPhone I am not much help there. I use Fantastical2 calendar app and the setup is different.

I use the apple calendar app for work and Fantastical2 for my personal stuff to keep things separated.

Lisa, Simol is using the google Calendar app on their iDevice. I’m not familiar with that. And I don’t use google calendar.

I have used google calendar since my Android days. I do not use the google calendar app on my iPhone though. I use google calendar in the cloud to keep track of all my contacts and calendars. As stated, I use Fantastical2 on my iphone and it backs up to my google calendar in the cloud. Fantastical2 will show all my calendars - personal and work, I just check which ones I want to see in the settings.

I use the calendar app on my macs for work only and it backs up to iCloud.

As for the google calendar app - I admit I don't know anything about it. Sorry!

When I open Google Calendar on my MacBook Pro, I don’t get the list of Calendars that use on my IPhone and my IPad. I want the list that Lisa has! How do I get those calendars listed when I open Google Calendar on the Mac?

I think you have to allow google calendar to sync with iCloud from there? Is there a Settings page, where you can link or sign in to your iCloud account information?

Lisa I too use fantastical2 on both iPhone and MBP it really is a better app than the native calendar and solves a lot of issues if like me you have multiple calendars from different platforms/providers. A pity it's so expensive but I bought it a fair while ago, back when I had the same sorts of issues Simol has. Now I think it was money well spent.

Rod - When I purchased it the name was Fantastical. Then they did a significant update and added the "2" to the end. I originally paid I believe something like $4.99??? I know I did not pay $49.99 which is what it cost now. Love the app but not for that!

You know I think I paid the same initially but had to cough up the $50 for the upgrade. Could be mistaken......?

I have no idea but I do know I was upgraded to the 2 version. I don't remember when or how but I do know I did not pay more. Not sure why. And if it was a mistake....Shhhhhhh!
