any reason not to give full access to java and google software updates?

l have given full access to malwarebytes on my mac, Access Denied
l see Screen Shot 2019-11-12 at 18.55.44.png has not been given full access, any reasons why l shouldn't?
how do l check if my java needs updating, since i dont see it in my Applications?

Java, used to be in System preferences. I haven't installed it in quite a few years.

Thanks ferrarr, updated my java now, so is there any reason why l shouldnt give full access to google software updates and java as in last post?

It's a personal choice. If you trust those apps, to not use (harvest) yours (or anyone that uses that Mac) personal data, you can trust them. You see what it says, that you are authorizing those apps "to access your data in your Mail, Messages, Safari, Home,TM backups and certain administrative settings for all users on this Mac."?

I've disabled or removed Java, Silverlight, and Flash from my macs and PCs... they are not needed, and hackers use these often to hack into computers.... they cant hack or exploit them if their not installed. I have not run into any website (I use) that needs them.

thanks for info ferrarr and macgig. l wont bother and just give malwarebytes full access. l do need java as some trading software l use depends on it. thanks for the advice :)
