the email and the URL it sends me too. just wanted to let others know about this one. what I don't get is, if its fake, how did they get my new email? that email is only a few months old. it can't be compromised already? sure hope not.
First, as you've confirmed it's a legit email send on behalf of Verizon from a 3rd party vendor. They got your email address from Verizon. The email is not asking for your Verizon information or anything. Once you click on the link there you will be taken to a 3rd party site which again will not ask you to sign in, but answer a bunch of questions that will be linked to your Verizon account so that they can see how you responded. It might also be possible to answer anonymously.
The emails that you need to be worried about are the ones that trick you into signing in or share information that you normally would not.
