BlueBorne. Should Mac users worry?

As far as I can understand it BlueBorne is a transmittance vulnerability. That is it opens the door to attack by malware developers. So in itself it is not necessarily harmful because your device may not be susceptible to the malware in question but you could unwittingly become a vector spreading the vulnerability to others who are. The good news is that it apparently cannot access iOS 11. So that maybe one good reason to upgrade. The article below from ABC News Australia explains it pretty well.

Actually the article says that you're OK if you're using iOS 10 and later.

I had intended to add that as per the linked article from Armis Labs (the source of the ABC page) that keeping personal devices such as printers computers and phones and public medical and utility management systems up to date is an important part of staying ahead of these threats. It seems that the public sector is resistant to upgrading/updating for fear that the device may stop working as intended. This was illustrated in the recent "Wanna Cry" episode where a number of Australian public health care data bases were frozen due to failure to update their Windows OS.
