I found this information with several methods that look promising. The first one recommended - dr.fone - is going to cost you $40. The second app is Handshaker and is in the apple app store. It is free. The third app is also in the apple app store and it is an android file transfer app. It is also free.

Thank you - I wasn't sure where to post and an old message told me I was in wrong place - hence second post. Now I know.

I've used the Android File Transfer app in the article that Lisa linked to above. It has worked well for me the few times I've needed it.

I thought if it was plugged into the Mac, it should show up as an external drive. Then you should be able to navigate and find what you need.

Thank you, Lisa (and others who have replied)

I have downloaded Handshaker and will be trying it tomorrow. It certainly sound as if it is a good - and simple - solution.

Android File Transfer is not listed in App store and Dr. Fone not near top of list at present.

Many thanks.

Android File Transfer isn't in the Mac App Store. The official download site is here.
