Hey Patrick...

Hopefully those new hearing aids haven't sent you to the "poor house". From experience with my Mother in Law, they are definitely expensive. Lucky for her at the time Medicaid paid for them. ($3000.00)

Nope, we were able to budget the expense ($3,30.00+cdn) and are replacements for the first set I got in 2013 that partially failed.

Unfortunately I don't qualify for any of the Canadian assistant plans but they're sure cheaper than a divorce and avoids all the annoying "What, whats..." that can happen with any conversation without them.

Man, the technology sure changes and I dare say improves in just the last few years alone.

Now to get used to all the new sounds I'm hearing. ;-)

This is where texting works real well (as long as the eyes are still working ok):)

Many times wife will be in one part of the house...I'm in another part...and we're having a text conversation (no "What...whats..."). Lol

Then you only have to worry about autocorrect.
I don’t always pay attention while texting, and have ended up with some strange replacements but, so far nothing that has gotten me in real trouble . . . yet.

Yes auto correct can be a real "monster" sometimes.

Just today...I was in a text conversation where a man was commenting to a woman via text. The word "shovel" was mentioned by the man earlier in the conversation...the woman replied at some point meaning to text the word "shovel"...but typing quickly & auto correct kicking in...when she meant to text "shovel"...auto correct made it "shower".

You can imagine the confusion & eventual humor...when the two unrelated coworkers realized it was a texting/autocorrect mistake...and not an invitation to take a shower with her!.;)
