A short while back I commented on another thread that the appearance of the forum had totally changed on both my iMac and MacBook Pro. It looked as if all of the graphics had been removed. I use Firefox. I was advised to try it on safari and when I did it looked perfectly normal. It stayed in that odd mode for a couple of weeks and when I clicked on a reply email in 'Mail' it went to Firefox, opened the thread and as if by magic there was the forum in all of its glory and correct, as normal.

I have done nothing to change anything on either machine. It had just decided to return to the normal forum mode? All of the other forums I am on have been OK all of the time, so I have no idea as to what has changed to change what has happened.

Confused John of Wiltshire???:eek::eek::eek:

Forum software was updated last Thursday night. If any of what you mentioned happened since Friday...would REALLY like to see/hear more detail...since we need to get it looked at (need to know ASAP).

But if what was described happened before Friday...then I would say hopefully all was cured with the recent software upgrade.:)

Many small site issues were corrected with the software upgrade!

Thanks,

Nick

p.s. Haven't heard from anyone else...if you see something unusual...please post (with screenshots please).:)

It came back to normal yesterday, so I don't think that I can blame the update Nick? But thinking about it? I'm not too sure if I had looked at the forum between Friday and Sunday?

WOW! An upgrade on a 'going to be' defunct forum?? Are they trying to tell us something I ask my self :Smirk::Smirk:

That's all been resolved now. The forums are no longer owned by Penton which was going to shut it down. We are now independent and make our own future.

We mentioned it a little while ago...but maybe it got buried somewhere...or the thread got missed (it happens).

Certainly doesn't hurt to mention it again.:)

I've been up to my neck packing and doing all sorts for ages now Nick. trying to get ready for this dammed elusive house move of ours. We are sweating on the reply from the sellers solicitor as to when they are going to get their finger out. That's meant I haven't been on here very much and probably missed the thread as you said..

What with the move from France in to rented, charging around like blue bottomed flies looking for a house and now just waiting!! It's been a challenging 18 months..

May the lord give me patience, but for Christ sake make it quick O:)O:):Mischievous::Mischievous:

Good luck with you new home purchase John. Believe me, it's just as complicated and frustrating here in the States when you buy or sell a home. I've been there and done that a number of times and at least one time it involved a distance of 3000 miles!

Have fun and take good care of those aircraft when you move. ;)

Thank you Chas. And my models will be wrapped in cotton wool!!!

This is actually the second 1/2 of the move back from France and all in all it has taken almost 18 months! I will be sinking a pint or 3 in the village pub at the first opportunity :Smirk::Smirk: If I weren't already grey haired I would be by now?

Good traditional English beer of course :Cool::Cool: I think that you lot over the Pond call it warm beer, but that's OK because it actually tastes best that way :Smirk::Smirk:
