Don't you mean: Lord of the Rings: The Return of The King. You are talking about part three of the trilogy right? :)

Since i have some vacation during the week of the 22nd, I may go see it at a matinee showing. :) But I will have to see the second installment first. Or maybe see both first and second then catch the matinee.

A little over 3 hours, and completely packed in too.. kind of like the end of Matrix 3.. on the edge of your seat the entire time, make sure to consciensly take deep breaths and relax every once in awhle.. or you're going to have a tension headache from all the excitement! :)

Great movie! Go see it now!

I just hope we don't have to wait six month to a year to get the extended DVD box of this movie. They put out the three movie box set next Christmas.

I guess I was the only one a little displeased with it. I've read the books as I'm sure a lot of you have also. And I know it would be hard/expensive/long to fit in everything the book has but I was really, really looking forward to see the hobbits return to the shire and have to fight for it :)

But I guess other than that the movie was awesome no doubt. I mean, the fight scenes were amazing, I'm going to start reading the books again tonight.

I didn't see the iBook when Frodo was talking to Gandalf but I did see one on the lap of one of the guys on the elephants. I guess he was sending an email back home, you know, since he's so far from home and such.. the phone bill would be huge.

I don't remember the Hobbits going back home to fight for there homes. I thought the endning in the books was when everyone starting going home.

Yeah, they actually did go home to fight for their homes. I was kinda surprised when I read the book a few years ago...to me it seemed too much like an ending that would be in a movie rather than something that Tolkien wrote. No offense to Tolkien of course, but IMHO it seemed like the hobbits fighting for their homes was just a tag after the real ending.

He was probably Middle-earth's version of Geraldo Rivera. He was using iChat AV to show scenes of the war to the news station back home. Those oliphaunts definitely had huge wireless antennas on their ears!
