There seem to be a fair number of those happening these days, so best be careful and watch the dates before replying.

Ian, my guess is that Patrick is subscribed to the thread and will be notified when any new posts are made to the thread. You can do so on any thread by find the Thread Tools dropdown and choosing Subscribe to This Thread option. You can manage all of hour subscriptions under your Profile.

Yup, just to confirm.

PS: I thought that the "Subscribe to" option was automatic when one posts to a thread. At least it seems to work that way for me. And then there's an easy unsubscribe option in the email that arrives if one wants or needs to use it.

That is correct if you have selected that option. You can change that from your personal profile if you wish.

It's automatic if you reply in the thread. There are some threads as Mod/Admin that I might not comment in but want to follow so I use that Subscribe option so I can keep up with that thread.
