Welcome! You can edit your profile and put in your current suite of Apple products, if you want.

A very warm welcome to our forums.

If/when you post a question, it's always worth mentioning the Device, year, operating system - in fact as much info as you can. That gets us off to a good start.

Equally, feel free to offer support to others. We all have some info that others don't have.

Hi! Just joined the forum recently, I'm a fan of vintage and modern Apple devices and always interested in seeing what cool things people can do with these computers.

When I go out on a consulting job, I usually find that a lot of Macintosh users have a closet full of old Macs. When asked about them, I'm usually told that they worked perfectly when retired, but that the user just was ready for a newer Mac and they couldn't bear to throw their old Mac in the trash.

When I moved from my last house to the one that I live in now, I decided to throw away a bunch of old Macs rather than move them, as it was unlikely that I was ever going to use them again, and no one, not even local schools, were interested in having them. I still feel bad about it.

I had long schemed to turn one of my really old toaster Macs into a Mac Aquarium:

They look really cool!

Like most of the new folk here, I found the forum through a search, as I'm getting my Mac Pro 2013 Real Soon Now(tm) and I have a LOT of questions (like what have I gotten myself into?)
I'm an IT admin by profession, but a photographer by passion and on occasion race vintage Alfas (hence my avatar image.)

Welcome to these forums Noisebox, I'm sure you will have a few questions and if your profession was primarily concerning Windows PC's the first thing you will need to do is forget everything you know about Windows when it comes to using a Mac.

Yes, from what I have read, it's going to take some "unlearning" to work with the Mac. Who knows? I may junk my PCs after it's all said and done...

Hello everyone. Nice to meet you all. I found an interesting thread in Buy/Sell/Trade discussion, but it seems I'm too newbie to write there. So I wanted to ask here if there is any good trader who sells used Macbooks in Stockholm. I need a few for the office.

Hi Sebastian and welcome to the forum. I haven't been to the Buy/sell bit before so not sure of the ruling there, but I'm sure that one better than I will soon be along to help.

Good luck!
