Hi CatHope and a warm welcome to Mac-Forums.

You have come to the right place.

It's always a great joy when you get your first Mac; and also a bit scary. But fear not. In the first place, the Mac's software will guide you through the preliminaries and then when you want to explore, come here and ask your questions. We are here to help.

And it's personal.

I must also say the Apple Support articles, which are abundant, give details on just about everything as well.

Hi Umit, my first Mac was and iMac, just a few weeks over 10 years back and it's still going strong. The MacBook Pro is slightly younger and going well too. I remember what a change it was, but you will soon get used to it.

Take care, stay safe!

Hello,

I am Brieuc, French living or stuck in Prague at the moment.
MacBook Pro User for more than 10 years.

I signed up regarding an issue that I have where the internet has not been able to solve for a while. I signed up before getting crazy and throw this beautiful (frustrating) machine by the window. You could definitely be my savior (mostly to recover my Data)

Not sure I will be able to help BUT i might binge read.

Looking forward to chat with you.

B.

Hello everyone new to the forum but not new to the website. I've found a lot of helpful information from this website and youtube videos as well.

Not really a tech guy but by watching videos I've learned to breakdown and put together laptops and do diy project, mostly upgrades.

I'm one of those guys that like to hold on to old stuff that work and can serve a purpose some how. I'm a apple guy but you won't find me standing on line for hours for the latest apple gadget. Nothing wrong with that but not for me.

Writing this reply on a Mac Pro late 2011 17 inch unibody.

I also own macbook black late 2008 and recently purchased a refurbished Mac book pro mid 2012 13 inch unibody.

Thanks to the creators of this website and everyone that contributes. :app
