What are the pros and cons of each system, what do they have in common, and what do they have that the others don't etc. I hope this thread has some interesting discussions, I'll be interested to hear what everyone has to say.

I prefer Mac

Started on dos, forced into windows 95, (hate bill gates, and windows is just not my cup of tea) moved to Mac way back when, more user friendly and easier to acquire and use pirated software, atleast in the good ol days. Been using Linux, Ubuntu, for the last 4 years: steep learning curve, constantly have to search internet for fixes and terminal codes to do things that are automatic in window and Mac. But I'm sick'n tired of spending so much time learning how to be computer geek just to use a computer, literally day or weeks to solve some problems, and often the info was inaccurate at best, worst case I followed terminal codes reported to fix my issuer only to have all of data files on my computer forever erased! (you would think that all those computer geeks out there would come up with a stable easy to use OS, God help you if you don't know how to search for help, or if you don't have access to the net). Linux is made by geeks for geeks. When Ubuntu was working I liked it very much, and would prefer it to Mac, but I am presently moving back to Mac, finally upgrading mavericks to El Cap. And looking for mac mini 2009...

Actually, he responded to another post that was from 2007. I deleted that one but want him to understand that responding to very old posts most of the time accomplishes very little. That's why I didn't remove this one.
