I kid, I kid... :)

It was the "chicken" part, actually being mouse that was supposed to make it funny. Guess that one fell flat.

Hey, did you guys see that Apple has a new remote out too?

MacDailyNews

Only reason it fell flat is my tired brain! I actually thought you were serious! :D Sorry!! :D

Was up all night fighting with an old Dell GX270 that turned out had bad caps. Smoke came out! :D

Not seen the new remote. Have to go check!

GX260/270/280s are FAMOUS for that. In fact, my work desktop is a GX270 and it's one of the few I've seen that hasn't fallen victim to it.

On the SFF version, it's tough to see too because the fan blocks the biggest caps at the rear of the case.

My GX260 has been a great machine. Maybe I should look at the Caps though! :D

There are 3 on the 270 hidden by the Heat Sink behind the CPU. I wish I would have seen the bad caps before the smoke started, I could have recapped it and saved it! :D Oh well!

More back on the topic of Macs, people tear down the few Macs that had Capacitor issues when Dell, Asus, MSI, Abit and most of the major PC Motherboard makers all had the exact same issues with bad caps at that same time. It was never Apples fault!

OK, wasn't sure about the full-size 270. We mostly have the small form factor (SFF) variety. Mine is a mid-tower, and I have 2 or three others that are that formfactor as well.

The GX280 SFF machines seem to have a lot of trouble with fan noise and bad PSUs. We've had to replace 50+ PSUs in those machines, it's unreal.

Hmmm I still have my doubts about the new apple mouse, just doesn't look to nice for those of us with fat hands and a gamer grip of death.

I think the new mouse will be an amazing experience. But I don't want to replace batteries...Ugh.

Such is life with a wireless rodent. Fortunately, if the battery claims of 4 months are accurate, it will be just 3 times a year that you have to do that.

My suggestion... pick up a 50 pack of AAs at Costco :)

I think that would last longer than the mouse itself, lol! ;D

w00t!! I came home to find white lines painted in my grass today in the front yard, accompanied by a letter indicating that Verizon is dropping fiber in my neighborhood. FIOS is coming! Finally real competition for Comcast - and just in time for my contract to come up for renewal. It should definitely be here by April when that happens.

I heard about FIOS, it seems pretty interesting, up to 50 MBPS download speed. But I do wonder how expensive it is though.

It's tiered and it's a direct connection as opposed to a shared, segmented connection. They can and probably will over time go much higher.

Well for $20 bucks I was going to serve you a super tasty American steak (which means a steak bigger than your head), and some great beer (not that "rot gut" stuff you're used to drinking)!!!;)

Ha ha,:)
