    Hi all

im looking to play some old PC games that really only worked well on windows XP, i've found a youtube video explaining how to do it (not by Bootcamp) and just wanted to check that the tutorial is all ok

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtEe9frHvu8

I have a Macbook Pro early 2009 3.0ghz 4GB Ram with El Capitain and Im looking to load Windows XP pro on to it

I would avoid any Chinese site that wants to do this. Did you read the many comments on this procedure?
Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

Why not try using virtual machine software instead? Since the PC games are older ones that run in XP, you might want to download the free VirtualBox software from Oracle and then install XP to the VM. It won't matter if your Mac can't run XP in Boot Camp or not since the virtual software will take care of that for you.

Thanks chscag I’ve heard they can be glitchy with some games but I suppose if it’s free it’s worth a try
