When we have been running lower OSs we have always used MP Navigator for mac 10. 13.

Now I have updated to High Sierra I am finding it very difficult to upgrade that programme? Our scanner is a Canon Canoscan Lide700F

We are mid way, as some of you know, through a double house move. France to rented in the U.K. and onto a place of our own. We really need the scanner for some of the documentation and so far I have 'made do' by photographing some of the docs. But if anyone could point me in the right direction I would be so very grateful :Confused:

Can anyone help pretty please :eek: If I wasn't already grey haired I would be by now (if that makes any sense

Have you tried using System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Scan > Open Scanner?

Sorry for the delay Bob. Yes I did try that, but the only thing that does is to do an actual scan as far as I can see? We are in the situation of needing to copy and also send scanned things by email. With MP Nav those are really simple to do.

I have downloaded MP Navigator EX Ver. 5.0.3 – macOS 10.13 ⇒10.7.5 which I would have expected to work with 10.13. But when I open and install it I can't find it anywhere in Finder? I also have msd_-mac-lide700f-14_11_5-ea8_2.dmg in Finder and once again when I open and install it it vanishes into the bowels of the iMac never to be seen again, not by me anyway ?:Oops::eek:

Is there a Canon folder? Don’t forget to look in your users Application folder also.

That was quick Bob. Yes there is a Canon folder, it's not in there and there is only an Adobe folder in Users, Applications.

I'm off to bed early tonight after wrestling with a floor sander and about 50 sq metres of wooden floor. I think the motor in the beast was war surplus from a Uboat. Still, I finished with the 40 grit abrasive and all I have to do tomorrow is the 80 grit followed by the 120 !! House moving is so much fun ??:Sleeping:
