Do you guys think this person had the same problem and a fix that would work for me ?
Can't delete BOOTCAMP partition

I believe both parts of the SSD are erased (clean) now so can I just delete one with the above method?

Thanks again

As Bob says, it seems plausible but it didn't seem that the HS APFS or a Fusion drive was involved, so your results may vary.

Just be sure to have a working, and preferably, a bootable backup before you try formatting stuff!!! ;D

No dice. I followed the link on that page to the Apple forums though and I have someone walking me through to hopefully fix. Seems like my fusion drive was unnecessarily divided by the PO. Thanks for the help.

Just a quick note to you....

Our advice to folks who have a Fusion drive and would like to run Windows is to use Virtual software instead of going thru the Boot Camp routine. You can certainly use Boot Camp on a Fusion drive but there have been many reports of failures and losing drive space (just like you) and not being able to regain it. Fusion drives are faster than a norimal spinning drive but they do present some unusual problems when things go wrong.

Let us know how you're doing with the advice you've received from the Apple Public forums.

I've been fighting this issue on a Fusion drive recently. If you count the time I have spent cloning my drive and reloading from a Time Machine backup I've lost the better part of three days. Multiple attempts to create Bootcamp partitions have resulted in failures of various kinds. The most recent of these errors resulted in me needing to reformat my entire boot drive because it was impossible to remove the partitions that had been created. Moral of the story don't proceed without a good backup.
