I have many emails in my Inbox folder. I'm using MS Outlook 2007. Some of my important messages are disappeared today. I have searched it, but nothing has found. I've no idea what to do for getting it back.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

It would be nice to have a lot more information. The model and year of your mac for a start and also version of OS X you are running. Also I don't believe Microsoft made a 2007 mac version of Outlook. The year should be either 2008, 2011, 2016.

And is this a POP account or IMAP account? They handle mail differently.

A warm welcome to Mac-Forums, Matylda.

You are using Outlook. Fine. May I presume that you are using Apple Mail as your email client?

The next thing we need to know is whether your email is POP3 or IMAP (I'm fairly certain it will be IMAP; but they do behave differently.)

The obvious place to look would be on the Outlook Server. I guess you've tried that.

And if you are using Apple Mail, your settings in Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Mailbox Behaviours may be relevant too.

Please post back with your responses. In the meantime, try rebooting your Mac. I know it sounds simple; but it often solves the problem and is usually the first thing I do before chasing other options.

She posted in the "Running Windows......." forum so we will assume her version of Outlook is a Windows version. Outlook 2007 is a Windows version.

Ah. Thank you for that info. So she may well not be using a Mac at all?....
