I just recently purchased a 2008 Mac Pro. I have been a PC guy for years and I want to make the transition to Mac for my design work and PC for games and some programs.

In my PC I'm running widows 10 on an SSD as a boot drive. On another drive I have installed all of my programs. On the program drive I have 1 program that is super expensive Vectorworks. I lost the disc years ago and this is my only copy.

My question is if I install Windows 10 via bootcamp on my new Mac will I be able to install my PC "program drive" containing Vectorworks. Will this work since it's installed into this drive?

I really don't want to have to bounce between both machines. How can I make this work?

Probably not. However, a quick e-mail to VectorWorks will confirm your legitimate registration, and I imagine they'd be happy to send you your registration details so you can simply re-install VectorWorks on a new drive from the demo or whatever method they prefer. There is a Mac version of VectorWorks as well, so perhaps ask them about that.

Unfortunately I need to run Windows OS for a couple of PC only programs. My solution this applies to my IMac 27" ssd and 32Gb ram with EL Thingi, Laptop pro updated with ssd instal VMware Fusion and Windows 10 runs with no problems.
Couldn't get parallels or boot camp to accept my windows 7 licence # even though it is genuine. So reinstalled old VMware which was slower than others, then used Media creation tool Windows 10 saw my reg and downloaded the 32 bit version but couldn't get the resolution. Upgraded VMWare to 8 now everything is fine.

Wish you all well
Richard
