Good afternoon,

Quick question. My work is on PC's and runs Outlook 2007.

I recently purchased a Mac and was able to get it on the network and configured for work. I purchased Office 2011 and have it up and running on the Mac. Will I run into issue or corrupt my Inbox if I am running 2007 on my office computer and 2011 on my Mac (Accessing the same account)?

I have been using this setup for about a month and half with minimal issues, however Outlook on my Mac has been crashing lately.

Thank You,
Jason

It shouldn't. It's pretty common for people with both Macs and PCs to use both to access their Exchange and IMAP accounts.

The only possible issue is if you are using Exchange and server-side rules, and you try to edit a rule from one computer on the other. However, Outlook 2011 will warn you before you can mess things up that way. Even then, only the rule would be affected

If Outlook is crashing, make sure you've fully updated OS X and Office. Then try rebuilding the Outlook database as described below:

If that doesn't work, try the age-old Microsoft solution of removing and re-installing Office.
