Hi!

Our small company will be purchasing 2 iMacs which we would like to install Bootcamp on both in order to run our Quickbooks software. I have been searching through numerous threads on which Windows 7 licenses I should purchase for both computers (2 licenses), such as professional, home, business, student etc.? 32 or 64 bit?

Thank you for your help!!

Windows 7 Home Premium includes both the 32 bit and 64 bit DVDs in one package for the same price. Check with Amazon.com for best price. The OEM system builder's full version is $99.99 at Amazon.

See if you can purchase a Windows 7 Family Pack as each iMac will require separate activations after install.

Thank you for the quick reply!
chscag: I'll definitely look into Amazon's prices.
Harryb2448: I could only find the upgrade version of the family pack? Is there a full version?

I don't think you can buy a family pack full version of Windows 7. The only multiple licensed full version of Windows 7 that I know of is the one sold through corporate channels. And you do need the full version in order to do a Boot Camp installation.

But you'll have to pick 32 or 64 bit versions in the OEM version. In deciding, the key issue is the RAM you have installed and that you want to access on the Macs; 32 bit Windows can only access 3 GB of RAM. Other than that, there's not much to differentiate them in most business-related applications.

Cheers
