I know this sounds like a stupid question, but it is driving me nuts and I can't find the answer to it!! I have 2 different MDD 1.25 dual mac's booting in OS9.2 and both of them act exactly the same.

When I put in a audio CD, it starts playing. I can't stop it, I can't change tracks, there is nothing on the screen, it is just keeps playing!! The only way to stop it is to drag into the trash!!

I can open up another program and, for example, select track 5 to play and it will play that track... AND track 1 (or whatever track it is at) at the same time!!

When you first put in a CD, how do you control it!!!!??? Should there be something on the screen to show CD controls???

THANKS!!!

Bear with me as it's been quite a while since I've used OS 9.x.x. Is there not a CD player application available in the Applications folder? You can get to the folder quickly using the key/click combination: command-click (see here).

Sometimes its in the Apple extras folder. You can go into Quicktime and turn off auto play.
