Edit: I think I put this in the wrong thread. Can someone move it for me? I'm sorry.
I have a Mac Powerbook, a 15", that is about three years old. I have a lot of files on it and like to back them up periodically. I use both CDs and I now have a flash drive, a Mercari (1GB 2.0).
Because I tend to be quite organized and like a minimalist desktop, I keep my files in various folders and sub-folders. Those sub-folders sometimes go four, five and even six deep.
Tonight, I deleted the outdated files and dragged the new ones over. But they don't copy--at least many of them don't. If I have a folder with three sub-folders in it (each one of those having more sub-folders with many files), perhaps only one sub-folder will show up, and be empty at that!
What am I doing wrong? Or is something wrong with my flash drive? Also, I sometimes get a notice that something cannot be copied because it can't copy the icon or some such notice.
Can anyone help me. I do not have a technical background at all so please bear with my extremely basic knowledge.
