Hello everyone,

I'm trying to add my Epson XP 15000 printer (wireless) to my Macbook Pro 2015 running the latest OS.

Both my Macbook and Printer are using the same Internet connection.

I have looked for solutions online such as resetting my wifi, restoring factory settings on the printer, changing the connect type but unfortunately no luck yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

G'day Jack.

Have a look through this support article. Have never had problems setting up Epson printers luckily. Maybe youy could try USB for starters and then wifi.

Have you downloaded the correct driver for the printer?

Thanks for your replies.

It is now showing as a printer so even though it was showing that error it seems to be connected.

When I select the printer and print it will attempt to print.

The issue now is that I keep getting the error that the printer is out of paper. My IQ must be -10 because I cannot for the life of me get this printer to work :) I have tried to load the paper in every way possible without success.

I have contacted Epson.

Switch it off, reload paper, curse it, switch back on.

Another thing to check is whether the correct size paper is logged by the printer. They are very sensitive!

My IQ must be -10............

It's more like Epson developers have an IQ of -10
The firmware they developed for the new printers is terrible, at least for my WF-7720 and I assume the one for your printer is no different.
For paper sizes, one has to select that at both the Mac (like for the old WF-7520 I had) and also on the printer touch screen as well or the printer won't print.
Then the feed paper tray has to be really pushed in hard.
Also make sure there is nothing in the paper path - sometimes small pieces are hard to see.

Turning the printer off...wait...and on again as suggested is a good idea.
I have had the relatively new Epson WF-7720 end up in some undefined software state where that was the only recovery mechanism.

Many thanks to both of you for your help!

You were both spot on. The issue was me not defining the paper size across all areas.

Before I was only selecting the paper type on the printer. To fix the issue I also had to use the exact same canvas size in Photoshop and also lastly select the same size under printing options on the print screen (without the last step it also wouldn't work). So it required all 3 steps to work correctly.

........So it required all 3 steps to work correctly.

Isn't that incredibly annoying?
And totally unnecessary!

Like I said, the previous model of that exact same Epson printer I had, didn't require these extra unnecessary steps.
I think I will take a few minutes tomorrow and send Epson a nastygram.

Haha yes it is indeed.

Glad it's working now.

Thanks for the help
