Are wireless keyboards and Mice a known cause of freezing?

My iMac has been freezing. Have tried everything I can think of to fix it - no solution. But just now during a freeze it occurred to me that my wireless keyboard and or wireless mouse is causing the freeze? Have already removed all the other peripherals one by one, but never considered the keyboard and mouse?

Not likely. Freezing can be caused by a bad hard drive or possibly a defective graphics chipset. Your iMac graphics is probably on a separate daughter card. But... you haven't told us anything about your iMac?

Are wireless keyboards and Mice a known cause of freezing?...

NON-APPLE keyboards can, in my experience, be a cause of instability. It's rare these days, but I still occasionally see it.

To diagnose it, simply un-attach all non-Apple peripherals, including the keyboard and mouse, and replace them with the OEM ones that came with your Mac. Restart your Mac and see if the problem is gone. If it is you can re-attach your third party peripherals one at a time and restart your Mac until the problem re-occurs, which will tell you the precise peripheral that is causing the problem.
