I have Mac Os X "10.8 Mountain Lion."

Can the Magic Keyboard act as a USB keyboard when it is plugged in to a Mac?

Without Bluetooth, just USB cable connect.

Thanks.

Probably not, since the rechargeable keyboard versions became available after Mac OS X Mountain Lion was replaced. What model year version are you looking at?

As Bob says, probably not.

And why use such a keyboard that is so restricted in its compatibility, connectivity and excessive price???
Buy Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad for Mac in Silver - Apple

I've never had to worry about my 2011 Apple extended USB keyboard or it's cable nor any rechargeable batteries ever, and that works with all Mac USB ports thankyou!!!

Also lots of good USB keyboard brands at a much cheaper price than Apple's models but I really do not appreciate the Bluetooth lag associated with so many Bluetooth keyboards (or mice), but maybe I just ended up with some bad ones.
