Time Machine repeatedly failing to complete backup

Can confirm after doing the CCC and then deleting the left over files from App Cleaner TM now completed successfully.


You might want to let Apple's App Store folks know about your problem, and it's too bad it can't delete itself and all its bit and pieces. :Smirk:

Try some of the apple.ca contacts listed on their web page. Their App Store may also have a report area you could use.

... Response from SW vendor:

Yes, Time Machine on some systems can not create backup for our app service folder.
That's a known bug, we created a patch and sent to Apple for review.

We have renamed the folders, and sent the update to the App Store.
Now, App Cleaner v.6.2 is being on review by Apple, I hope they will approve and release it in a few days.

To resolve the issue now, just add the service folder to Time Machine exclude list, or just remove the folder.
