Hello there!
We are going to start a map printing service (wall size, deco purpose) and I have a question about buying a printer compatible with Mac Book Air.

3mx3m size, matte.
It should be "readable", what obviously depends on a printing quality and prepress editing.
The first map we are going to print is Los Angeles, metro area map.

Is this really a legit question without proper details of what your needs are or just a SPAM type ad for your commercial LA maps???

Sorry, but it seems more like the latter to me, especially seeing that they seem to be getting printed already. :$ :$ :$ :[

No, it`s not a spam, it`s a question. Should be a professional (+-) printer under 1K$ that have no problem with Mac connectivity, appreciate your advice, thanx in advance.

The OSX on your Mac is as relevant as the model as some printer companies do not update their software as the OS develops.

If you google you might get a big list of printers. You can choose one of them from the list. But Epson Expression Premium XP-640 has great impact. You can try it.

Just a theoretical thought based on the thread title "Good printer, 100% compatible with Mac Book Air".

Is there really ANY printer that's REALLY 100% compatible with any computer??

How about a more reasonable goal...a "Good printer...compatible with a MacBook Air".:)

p.s. You should also tell us exactly what model MacBook Air we are talking about. If this was a 2008 MacBook Air running an older macOS version...that would make a BIG difference than if it was a newer model 2015 MacBook Air running a much newer macOS version.:)

I dare say you'll almost need a plotter that can also do reasonably fine text printing to produce anything at that size. And I'd be surprised if one could find a new one under the $1,000.00± range.

And then there's the ink costs to consider.
