Recently (in the past two weeks, which was after the most recent OS X update) my thunderbolt display began "flickering" throughout the day. Now, my monitor is set to full-brightness and looks like it's set about half way. AKA the monitor got very dark and full brightness is nowhere near where it should be. I've played with some calibration options in system prefs to no avail. This is not a software specific issue-it doesn't matter what program is being used-right now just the general desktop is very dark.

Anyone else having these issues or have any insight? I'm running a late 2013 MBP Retina, 16GB with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB graphics card.

Need some clarification. You state that your Thunderbolt display is flickering. Are you referring to the Apple 27" Thunderbolt Display? Or are you referring to the display on your retina MacBook Pro?

sorry, the 27" display is flickering. it actually just went completely black and the MBP continued to run. restarted and changed the outlet, did it again. waiting on a call with support now, but obviously interested in anyone else's thoughts...

Hopefully your TB display is still under warranty or extended Apple Care. Other than changing out the cable, I have no other suggestions to try. Let us know.

Took me two separate trips and lots of explaining to the "geniuses" at Apple, but I THINK it's fixed. Replaced logic board and power supply/cable.

and it's still broken. thank you Apple for treating me like a five year old with absolutely no knowledge of the device that I run for 60 hours every week in my office.
