Airport Extreme wanders away from my own network

Occasionally, AE will "leave" my network and seek to connect with a neighbor's network. How can I keep my own network as the primary network and stay connected?

Hi,

Firstly check in System Prefs>Networks that the 'Ask to join other networks' is unchecked.
Then in Advanced>Wi-Fi drag your preferred (primary) network to the top of the list in the 'Preferred Networks' pane.
