We're excited to announce the creation of the new Mac-Forums Facebook page!:)

The link for the new Mac-Forums Facebook page is: Mac-Forums.com - Home | Facebook

For folks that know...there's a previous Mac-Forums Facebook page that's basically been inactive for some time...and access to that account has been lost. Thus the need for a new Mac-Forums Facebook page.

Please check things out...and of course feel free to add/post/follow/share/etc. interesting stuff to the page!:)

Thanks,

Your Mac-Forums Team

I agree, I have just one issue, or at least I did yesterday. I cannot get the page to show up in the shortcuts menu in FB.

I think I just worked out the above issue. I'm not "joined". A bit obvious I know, I just assumed because I had joined the old page. So how do we join the new page?

Hey Rod thanks for the question. Right now the new Mac-Forums Facebook Page is mainly a "Page" at the moment...with no specialized groups. You may be thinking about joining a group.

Um, how do I do that? I can see that my comments are registering but I can't create a new post.

Anyhow that aside it looks great. Good to have it back up again. Thanks to you guys for your hard work.

From the Mac-Forums FB page do you see a "Groups" link in the margins on the left (where FB puts links to "Potos", ""About" etc). Click there and it will bring up a link to the group page. Two people in so far.

Worth quitting FB altogether, then resigning in to our new page, then you should see this. Click on Red arrow (Group) and then on Yellow arrow to send a request to join. It then says "requested" as in my screenshot.

Hi, why is it that I cannot simply look at the page, why must the "open an account" thingy obliterate approx 60% of the offered page? I might not like it but have committed my details to facebook! In my eyes not a good move at all; so methinks "stay away". Also seems like a sister/brother to 'twitter'. I could be wrong but those are my thoughts on Mac-forums facebook page.

Very best regards from Keith in Derby England.

Hello Keith...thanks for commenting.:) I'm assuming this "open an account" message will only appear once...and after you've opened an account...you should no longer see it. In any case....this is totally a Facebook thing...and nothing to do with the Mac-Forums.com Facebook page.

As far as "methinks stay away"...this of course is every individuals choice.:) But with with over 2.38 BILLION monthly Facebook users...it would seem that's a pretty significant percentage of the total EARTH population who aren't following that advice!;)

What’s the url of the page? I’m sure I am already following but the old memory needs a scrub.

If you mean the URL of the Mac-Forums Facebook page...look at the top of ANY Mac-Forums page. There's an announcement there with the Mac-Forums Facebook page link in red.:)

Yeah, how could anyone miss that overly huge space wasting announcement???

Any chance of reducing it down to a more normal size. Pleeeease!!! It seems a wee bit excessive to me, and I had to reduce the size to be allowed to post it. So yes it's huge on my 27" iMac. :Smirk:

Thanks...
