Hello everyone. A couple months ago we began an RSS thread as a benefit to forums members to help keep everyone up to date on various current/hot topics in the technology area for forum members to read & discuss. We received some feedback that not all forum members were interested in viewing the RSS thread contents...we understood this feedback...and temporarily discontinued the RSS thread until a better system could be presented.:)

We are excited to announce that an improved RSS thread system has been created where each & every Mac-Forums registered member can self-select to participate in the new RSS thread news areas via each members User Control Panel area.:) With the new RSS thread system we've created a two RSS subject areas:

* RSS News: Latest and greatest Apple related electronics news & information.
* Deals News: Daily internet electronics deals news.

If you choose to participate...you will be automatically subscribing to both areas (RSS News & Deals News).:)

The process to join is as follows:

1. Go to Settings (in the upper right corner of any website page)...or Forum Actions >> Edit Options (below the website Navbar at the top of each website page).

Both "RSS News" areas are located in the "General Discussions" area of the home page.

Have Fun & enjoy the new areas.:)

Thank you very much for all the effort that went into creating this feature.

The opt in/opt out function is a great idea. Good plan.

Yes, very good idea and that way people who do not want to view any of it do not have to. Nick came up with this by himself. He really did his homework!
