As a refresher for veteran members and an intro to newer members...please use the reputation system when you feel you've come across a thread post that you feel deserves some extra feedback (in the form of reputation points & comments). These reputation points can go either way (positive or not positive):
- Positive if you really appreciated what the member making the post said.
- Not positive if you found something the member said or did was not to your liking.
Generally speaking...the overwhelming amount of reputation points & feedback given to members are for awesome/excellent/informative/insightful posts. But occasionally "not-positive" reputation points may also be given for various reasons.
A quick intro into how to give reputation:
- Click on the "thumbs-up" icon in the lower left area of the post you wish to provide reputation:
- Fill in the info in the pop-up box that appears:
- Click on the "Add to Reputation" button.
As positive reputation is gained...the number of green indicators above a member's avatar will increase:
Also...as progressively higher reputation milestones are achieved...differing statements will appear when the screen pointer/cursor hovers over the green reputation indicators:
For example:
That's all there is to providing reputation to member posts.
Thanks,
- Nick
