I last used Itunes about 14 months ago and when I try to download and pay for a song I am unable to so. Have they recently changed the procedures for Itunes? They now offer me 3 months free and then want to charge 9.99 per month afterward. What did I miss?

You may have missed nothing because the Apple Music option at $9.99/month has been there for years; but is being more aggressively promoted.

But I have to ask, which Operating System (OS) or iOS are you running and what version of iTunes? The latest iTunes is 12.9.9.5 up to and including macOS Mojave.

I don't have macOS Catalina, - but as you will know Catalina did away with the old iTunes - calls it "Music" and segregates it into songs, video and podcasts ,I believe.

If you have any OS other than Catalina, then the method of purchase is unchanged. For iOS, ditto. Latest version iOS 13.3.

Thank you for that information. I took the site as it was presented not trying to dig a little deeper. After reading your post I started to look deeper and found what I was looking for and had used previously. Just needed to open my eyes and expand the search. Again TRhank You for the post.
