Video Editing Software for Engagement Video
Hi all, I'm looking to put together a 1-minute video of me and my fiance so it can be the engagement save the date. As you can infer, I don't want to buy Final Cut Pro or expensive software, but I am willing to spend a bit of money. What are my options?

I have two laptops I can use:
    - MBP 2012, 2.7ghz i7 quad, 16GB
    - MBP 2011, 2.7GHz i7 dual, 8GB

Would appreciate some recommendations. I will be clipping together a few videos recorded with our iPhones and would like to have a couple of special effects that make the video special and not just an iMovie compilation of random videos.

    Thanks!

Have you taken a look at iMovie? It is oribably on your Mac akready and if not can be hand from the App Store for much less than Final Cut.

Unfortunately, I am using 10.12.6 and there is no iMovie available in the app store for me. I may need to torrent it....

iMovie should have been installed with Sierra. See this page. If you scroll down to the iMovie section there is a link that says iMovie website. Follolw the link and see if it takes you to the right download page in the App Store. It does for9 me but I'm on a different OS.

Obviousloy the forum isn't going to encourage you to torrent that software because it would violate copyright law. I will say that I've seen numerours reports over the years with torrents of Mac software. If you cannot legitimately downloaqd iMovie there are other free/cheap alternatives. Depending upon the level of editing desired QuickTime Player may do the trick. It is on your Mac.
