• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Create another DVD from it. What is the cheapest, preferably free, safest , simplest way ? I have an IMac /ElCapitan software. It's an official concert dvd that i only want to take certain tracks from and make dvd for my own use. I was able to put it on my computer, in to a file, it separated in to Video_TS and Audio_TS, won't open from there without checking apps that may. If anyone knows, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your quick response. I have heard of that but saw on line post that last year it had safety issues, is it ok now ? Also if i used that are you able to burn on there as well? Or would i just use files from there and burn with free software program Burn? (I have used this recently and it worked well to burn two discs)

Handbrake seems to be fine now. I think that was a one off issue that has long since been corrected. You cannot burn the DVD fromm within Handbrake though. You must use a DVD burning program such as iDVD, Burn, etc.
