• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

OK quite simply I don't have the 'plus sign' in Imove, when clicking on camera it only brings up my photo booth and not Photo Library
This has all changed since an update in the last few months maybe year?
Can anyone help
I want to import the photos I have ordered in an album in Photos v2.0 into Imovie all on my Mac computer
I'm a basic user - you can tell no doubt
Many thanks

Fixed it people. Apple called me with a schedule call. A software update had updated my iphotos to photos but not done imovie. I've now the App Store downloaded the latest imovie - free - and hey bingo - I can see my library and import as I was always able to between iphotos and imovie
thanks for your help. For the record Sue your imovie is v 10.1.7
